Bob from Superior Threads has a great e-mail newsletter once a month. I urge you to sign up for it. The December newsletter has information on how to pick the right needle for the size of thread & he explains the needle size standard.

2/3 of a Large Brown Bag full
2 Cups sugar
1 Cup butter
1/2 Cup Light Karo Syrup
1 t. Salt
1 t. Soda
1 t. Vanilla
2 Cups Coconut
1 Cup Almonds
1 Pkg. dried pineapple (7oz)
Put butter in a 4 qt. heavy pan. Melt & then add sugar, salt, karo, coconut, almonds, & pineapple. Cook on medium heat for 5 minutes, time it. Stirring often. Add 1 Teas. soda & the vanilla. Stir. It foams up some. Pour over popcorn & stir quickly until coated well. Put in an oven proof pan , bake at 150 –leave it for several hours or over night. Leave a crack on oven door.
