Pumpkin Bread

2/3 cup oil

2 2/3 cup sugar

4 eggs

1 can 29 oz. pumpkin or 1 quart fresh pumpkin

2/3 cup water (if using fresh pumpkin use less water)

3 1/2 cup flour

2 tea. soda

2 tea. salt

1/2 teas. baking powder

1 tbs. cinnamon

1 tea. cloves

2/3 cup chopped nuts

2/3  cups raisins

Heat oven to 350 degrees.  Grease 2 loaf pans.  Cream oil and sugar till fluffy.  Stir in eggs, pumpking, water.  Blend in flour, soda, salt, baking powder, cinnamon and cloves.  Stir in nuts and raisins.  Pour into pans and bake 70 min.

For a change use dried cranberries instead of raisins.  To make it spicier add 1/2 teaspoon allspice, 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg and or 1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice.
