BASIN PIECEMAKER’S QUILT GUILD BUSINESS MEETING Jan. 24, 2012
Guests: No guests. Introductions and unbirthdays.
Minutes: Read and approved. Debbie moved, Kathy seconded.
Treasurer’s Report: Checking account $1,104.98 Savings $3,158.70.
Correspondence: None
Day meeting: Was at Betty’s. It was lovely. Wonderful food was served.
Night Meeting: Tabled again until someone wants to chair/organize.
COMMITTEE REPORTS:
Hospitality: Contact Emma Lou if you know of anyone needing a card.
Brown Bag: Emma Lou passed around a sign-up sheet. Passing will start at Feb. meeting.
Crazy Ladies: Keep passing.
Little Brown Bag: Should be done next month.
QOV: 5 quilts were sent out to be quilted. 3 more are almost done. We need pillow cases so contact Gloria if you can help.
Artsy Ladies: Keep passing.
2013 Quilt Show: We still need a chairman or 2/3 people to work together as cochairmen. June will be the deadline to decide if we have the show because a year is needed to get ready. There is a notebook with past practices available to help.
Block Exchange: A new group is starting. People would take turns demoing a pattern every month to bring finished the next month. Contact Lauren for more details.
Blog: Be sure to check the blog for pre-meeting meal places and refreshments. Pre-meeting meals are at 5:30.
OLD BUSINESS:
Retreat: Check the blog for retreat info. Sign up now for the April 17-22 retreat.
Sandi Stone: Donations collected for Sandi will be given to Animal Outreach here in ML and Spokane Hospice.
NEW BUSINESS:
By-Laws: Sally explained that active members have first choice at retreats and classes.
Raffle Quilt: This is our only fund-raisers so please remember to pick up your tickets.
Crazy Camp: Sign-ups for the Feb. 25 class which Buggy Barn is putting on. Soup will be provided and participants can bring other snacks to share.
Blue Underground: There will be a class offered June 4th by Bear Paw on the curved log cabin. It is a 5 hr class with a max of 15 people, but she is willing to come back again. A motion was passed to have the guild pay for half the cost.

Name tag drawing: Grace won the name tag drawing.
