OLD BUSINESS:
Make a Difference Day: Lynda asked us to continue to bring in 12 ½” QOV blocks. They made 7 tops that were on display tonight. Great job ladies! Nine quilters were present and they had a great time. All blocks went together really well and they were done by 3:00. Eddy donated a quilt top, so we will have 8 quilts to send off. Fabric for sashing and backing can still be donated for future quilts. There was a motion made and passed for the club to pay for postage.
Retreat: Penny did an outstanding job at the retreat. Everyone had fun, but Nancy thought the pincushions were “very stressful”! The power went out for a couple of hours one morning so there was no hot water for showers.
NEW BUSINESS:
Pincushions: Barb gave another pincushion pattern to everyone. The felt balls may be found at the Fabric Patch.
Extra Rulers: Extra rulers from the retreat were for sale for $13.
Postcard: Barb shared a postcard for a book for sale about quilts made featuring American troops. See Barb if interested.
Lost bag: Cheryl has misplaced a bag full of goodies after one of the Jo Morton classes. Anyone who may have knowledge about it, please see Cheryl.
Retreat: Cougar cabin is in charge of the next 2 retreats.
Kindergarten class: Penny’s brother’s class is making quilts. Anyone interested in donating a yard of fabric, bring it to Eddy. Anyone wanting to help with the project, see Penny.
Program: Barb, Virginia, and Eddy shared what they got at the Houston quilt show.
