  • Put your own fabric in a bag with your name on it
  • ½ yd for background
  • 3″ blocks finished, 3 1/2″ unfinished
  • One 3″ block pattern available each month online
  • Optional:  journal, label for names, theme

    Brown Bags Exchange for 2010-2011
    For those who have never done this before, you might put something in your bag to put completed blocks in, a paper towel roll with some fabric around it works. And a label to have each person sign. plus a little album to record messages to you, is also fun. We have 11 signed up so far. Be ready to begin at the October meeting.

  2. woo hoo….can’t wait to get started. I just picked out my fabric and now need to do the label and journal thingie. See everyone in October.

    hi! is there a mathematical formula to convert say a 12″ block to a 3″ block? my method of trial and error seems to use an awful lot of trials… also, perhaps some tips (size of stitch, use of pins,etc…) maybe you could offer a class…

    One other thing, please leave the list in each bag, especially the 12 1/2 inch, and sign your name beside your name on the list after you complete each block,if you can’t get it completed, write in IOU beside your name and make sure you catch up. Don’t hold anyone’s bag for more than a month, let’s keep them circulating.
