June Minutes


Guests:   None

Minutes:  Read and approved.

Treasurer’s Report:  Checking account:  $3,067.00, Savings:  1,102.00.

Correspondence:  The guilt received a thank you card from Roylene in regard to the loss of her father.

Day meeting:   At Betty’s.  Great brown sugar cake with strawberries!  Next meeting to be held at Grace’s.   2nd Tues of the month.

Night Meeting:  4 present.  Some good stories were told.


Programs:  Edna is doing the program tonight.  Cheryl and Virginia are looking for more ideas so contact them if you have any interesting program ideas.

Hospitality:  Cards were sent to Naomi and Melanie.

Brown Bag:  2 more passes.  Sept. will be the last one for this year and the new one will start in Oct.  Anyone wanting to join for next year is more than welcome.  Emma Lou will have details in coming months.

QOV:  2 blocks were turned in tonight.

Raffle:  $180 turned in tonight.  Please turn in any money you have.  The drawing will be held at next month’s meeting.

Challenge:  Debbie is in charge.  The directions were passed out and Debbie will be at next month’s meeting to explain.

Felted Women:  Projects are on display each meeting before the pass.  Have a look, they are quite impressive.

Blog:  Be sure to check the blog for pre-meeting meal places and refreshments. Pre-meeting meals are at 5:30. 


Ephrata:  Penny, Marilyne, and Grace each won ribbons at the show.  Many members entered and helped set up.  Good job ladies.


Raffle Quilt:  Barb handed out a sign-up sheet, color guide, directions, and background fabric for the 2011 raffle quilt.  15 blocks are needed and a suggestion was made that a couple of people could work together on a block so that more people could participate.

Picnic:  La Faun offered to host the picnic at 6:00 pm, Aug. 24.  Bring chairs and a dish of choice.  The club will provide tableware.

Fair:  A sign-up sheet was passed around for the fair.  Dates help is needed are Aug. 13, 14, 15, 16, and 22.  See Barb if you are interested.

Pincushion: Barb displayed a new pincushion and passed around patterns.  This one is a large, 6 inch by 3” deep square block.

Program:   Edna showed how to make quilted sweatshirt jackets.  She had a couple to display and directions for everyone.

Name tag drawing:  Lauren won the name tag drawing.

Night Meeting:  2nd Thursday, 7pm Immanuel Lutheran

Business Meeting:  4th Tuesday, 7pm Immanuel Lutheran
