The  meeting was called to order by President Sally G.
GUESTS:  Judy Rice
Everyone introduced themselves and stated their favorite color to use in a quilt.
MINUTES:  The minutes were read and approved.
TREASURER’S REPORT:  Checking Account:  $4018.97  Savings:  $1104.87  The amount in checking reflects  retreat money paid.
CORRESPONDENCE:  Candy T.’s new phone  number is 793-4768
Pioneer Retirement Village is in need of sewing notions  to use in their recreation class.
DAY MEETING:  They met at Barb. B.there were approximately  15 ladies. Next meeting is at Melanie S.
Hospitality: Sally sent a sympathy card to Clara R.’s family and Emma Lou sent a get-well card to Cindy R.
Brown Bag, Crazy Ladies, and Artsy Quilts:  Keep passing.
QOV Quilts:  Gloria brought 4 quilts for other to do the  binding.  Return them the next meeting.
Block Exchange:  Lauren M. showed 4 blocks that others had made.  Very nice.
2013 QUILT SHOW:  Nancy W. has volunteered to make the ribbons and Lynda W. will write the quilt descriptions.  A chairman is still needed, or there won’t be a quilt show.
RAFFLE QUILT:  Cindy W. reminded us to bring our tickets and money the next meeting.
Quilt till You Wilt:  Approximately 90 ladies attended and everyone had a really good time.  Laura E. asked for some recipes of the potluck dishes that were taken to share.  Also a Cancer tote bag and heart shaped pillow for breast cancer patients were shown.  These are for the Reach To Recovery Program and if we want  to make and donate some totes, instructions/patterns  are on the table.
Retreat:  Barbara S. reported that 21 ladies have signed up and there is still room for others to go.  She encouraged anyone bringing a big salad, etc. to make enough to share with everyone.  Karen C. will bring a bit pot of soup for all.  There will be a table for treats for all.  We are having a $10-15 gift exchange on Saturday night.  Also bring 2 co-ordinating fat quarters, button, thin batting and interfacing and a small amount of Velcro for our project.  Also bring another 4 fat quarters for the games on Saturday night.  Bear Paw is coming on Saturday to give us a demonstration.  At this time we don’t know what it will be, but we probably won’t need to bring anything for that. We’ll have a fun time!
NEW BUSINESS:  Bear Paw is have a Dear Jane and Civil War  Class by Jane Blakely. It will be May 23, price is $65.  Contact Bear Paw in Coeur d’Alene  if you are interested in attending.
Janine Burke of Blue Underground Studio will be here June 4th to teach a Curved Log Cabin Class.  The cost is $40 with the quilt guild paying $20 of that.  Sign up’s will be at the April meeting.
NAME TAG DRAWING:  Barb. B. won.  Tonight was also the BIG drawing for those who have worn a name tag any of the last three meetings.  Lauren M. won a $25 gift certificate to Fabric Patch.
PROGRAM:  Judy Rice, a local fiber artist, showed the many items that she has made, painted, or sewn.  It was a very interesting and informative program.  She’s very talented and entertaining  to listen to!
The meeting was adjourned and delicious refreshments by Delorse A. and Donna D. were enjoyed!
