2015 Raffle Quilt

July 27, 2014

2015 Raffle Quilt Color Palette

The pattern for the 2015 raffle quilt is called “Geese Migration”.

It is from the May/Jun 2014 Quilty Magazine.  A picture of the quilt along  is posted below. Contact Kim G for directions.

The raffle quilt committee elected to make the quilt larger than the one shown.  We will need a total of 39 full blocks.  A single block consists of two separate sections.  One section is flying geese and the other section is 15-patch block.

Both sections need to be completed in the same colorway, such as red, teal, grey, etc.  The flying geese section uses a solid fabric for the flying geese units.

A color palette is also posted on the website.  At the meeting, many of you took both the flying geese section and the 15-block section.   Completing both of these means you have essentially completed a single block.  If you elected to do either the flying geese section or the 15-block section that is fine, too.

I am still in need of volunteers to complete blocks in the following colorways:

Navy Need 2 blocks

Teal Need 2 blocks

Grey Need 1 block

Taupe Need 3 blocks

Purple Need 2 blocks

Lavender Need 3 blocks

If you plan to sew a block please email me to let me the color you selected.  You can use a variety of patterns in your block.  The size and tone of the fabric do not matter.  It only matters that the predominate color is red, navy, teal, etc.

Blocks should be returned to the committee at the August picnic.  Committee members include:  Mary K, Nancy L, Kathy K, and Linda L.  If you have any questions, please give me a call or contact one of the other committee members.
